Basic
- Supports Enhanced codes for my Chevy cars and can see way more info that cheap scanner.
- Provides information about your system, scans modules and CEL, and shows pending codes.
- Reads out ALL or most vehicle systems, not just engine/ emissions, on domestic vehicles.
- Does not seat well in some OBD2 data ports, at least not Volkswagon or Audi ports. Fords and Hondas seem to fit fine. Your mileage may vary.
- Works great but only supports the blue driver app and not other apps using different Bluetooth protocols
ScanTool OBDLink MX Wi-Fi for iOS, Android & Windows
- Compact OBD2 device which fit snug out-of-sight in the OBD2 socket under dash.
- OBDLink MX great and it can be used while driving the car to record performance and speed information. There is an app for iOS, android and windows, so it is very useful.
- I'm using this on a 2004 Ford 6.0L Diesel with the manual transmission. Many of the Ford 6.0L specific PIDs are included, super easy to add your own PIDs.
- The items is great, I just wish it came with apps for all the cars, not just Nissan Altima or Maxima. I thought there would be apps for Chevy, VW, Ford and all types. I guess I just didn't research it very well
- My iPhone 6 has problems connecting. Once I manage to get things connected it works ok until I turn off the car, when I come back its back to trying to force things to reconnect.

- When your car throws a code every time the top recommend fix has been the issue i actually have! makes diagnosing so much easier!
- Has built-in scanner for newer cars that have QR code VINs - have to manual input the VIN -- doing so gives you TSBs & recalls for car - no other under $200 scan tool does this for this price -- saves a lot of time!
- While testing the unit out, I easily scanned my VIN into my smartphone app. I also installed on my Fire HD 10 inch pad. Connecting to bluetooth was easy.
- They hide certain information or dont have the licensing for GM to show certain things that my $15 bluetooth scanner and TorquePro can show.
- Does not display all the options that your vehicle may have available.
ScanTool OBDLink MX Wi-Fi for iOS, Android & Windows
- You can monitor any number of different data points in real time or you can take logs to see a trend on when certain problems are happening.
- One of the few implementations of the STN1110 IC which is leaps and bounds better than the ELM327 found in cheaper scan tools due to its larger library of commands and greater processing speed and memory.
- You can see all sorts of vehicle information like, MPH, RPM, Turbo Boost Pressure, Miles per Gallon, and many more. You can make a custom dash displaying readings from essentially every vehicle monitor in real time.
- The only thing I wish is that I could monitor oil pressure and shut off cylinders to check for bad injectors. Fantastic none the less.
- Not worth it. I install it but signal dropping all the time and the info you get from it is not very useful. It is more as a device to show off to your friends.

- Awesome App! looks really clean and easy to get a round.
- They have the ability to add features and are constantly improving!
- The ability to mount your phone on the dash while you are driving and testing works well.
- LED on unit offers feedback with flashing blue or constant red light so you know it's alive, and what status it's reporting
- Not 100% impressed with the Android interface. Back buttons and intuitive menus are lacking, or not where I expect them to be, or not laid out in a conventional manner.
- -Lag time while observing 'real-time' data also leaves room for improvement. If that's important to you, be forewarned.
ScanTool OBDLink MX Wi-Fi for iOS, Android & Windows
- Purchased the WIFI version to compensate for a lack of gauges in my turbocharged MINI Cooper. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Setup and configuration was quick and painless.
- The corresponding app (iOS for me) connects to the device quickly and, once connected, data is displayed in the app in real-time (zero noticeable delay or 'latency').
- Love it. Links up well with Surface Pro 3 tablet and iPhone 7, logging feature and selectable sensors to view on a line graph is fantastic. Nice GUI, selectable/customizable dashboard meters. I've tried a couple other brands and this beats them hands down.
- Very frequently the app disconnects from the ODB2 device.
- Buggy Buggy Buggy. Does not like to connect and has about 5 feet of range. I think a lot of the problem is the connector is not firm enough to make good connections.
